The IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL®), a widely adopted framework for best practice Service Management, has recently undergone a major refresh.  The new ITIL® takes an evolutionary step from a traditional operational and process-oriented approach to a more business integrated, end-to-end service lifecycle method for IT service delivery.

ITIL® V3 has been reorganised into five core books covering service strategy, design, transition, operations and continuous improvement.  Not only does it cover what to do in terms of improving IT operational excellence, it now shows you how, using ROI statements and case study examples.

This ITIL® V3 bridging course is suited to individuals wishing to stay up to date with the latest developments in Service Management, or for organisations looking to develop a broader awareness and acceptance of Service Management across IT.


About the course:

This course is designed for those holding existing ITIL® Foundation certificates to learn about ITIL® V3 in an engaging and highly effective learning environment.  A bridging examination will be held at the end of the course for those participants wishing to update their Foundation Certificate to the latest version. 


What you will learn:

  • Introdcution to the new ITIL® Service Lifecycle
  • The objectives, processes and structure for each of the five core ITIL® books
  • Relationships between the processes and their stage in the lifecycle
  • An awareness of new key ITIL® concepts and definitions
  • The primary changes between V2 and V3

Prerequisites:

The requirement for this course is an existing ITIL® Foundation Certification.  To get the most from this course, it is also recommended that all participants have a comfortable level of understanding of all IT Service Management processes.
