ITIL® V2 - V3 Bridging Certificate


New and Improved!  The IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL®), has undergone a major update. The new version takes an evolutionary step from a traditional operational and process-oriented approach to a more business integrated, end-to-end service lifecycle method for IT service delivery.

ITIL® V3 has been arranged into five core books covering service strategy, design, transition, operations and continual improvement.  Not only does it cover what to do in terms of improving IT operational excellence, it now shows you how, using case study examples.

This ITIL® V3 bridging course is suited to individuals wishing to stay up to date with the latest developments in Service Management, or for those looking to develop a broader awareness and acceptance of Service Management across IT.


Who Should Attend:

This 1.5 day course is designed for those holding existing ITIL® Foundation certificates and would like to learn about ITIL® V3 in an engaging and highly effective learning environment. A bridging examination will be held at the end of the course for those participants wishing to update their Foundation Certificate to the latest version.


Prerequisites:

The requirement for this course is an existing ITIL® Foundation Certification. To get the most from this course, it is also recommended that all participants have a comfortable level of understanding of all IT Service Management processes.

The best way to accelerate your understanding of ITIL® V3 is to experience it. This course can optionally includes our highly-interactive training simulation offering that provides participants with a high-impact, energetic way to accelerate their knowledge of the changes in ITIL® V3. This unique experiential approach transforms ITIL® training into an engaging, fun and highly effective learning experience that has lasting results.



What You Will Learn:

  • Introduction to the new ITIL® Service Lifecycle
  • The objectives, processes and structure for each of the five core ITIL®books
  • Relationships between the processes and their stage in the lifecycle
  • An awareness of new key ITIL® concepts and definitions
  • The primary changes between V2 and V3


Examination:

An optional 30 minute, 20 multiple-choice question examination will be held at the end of this training course.
