Assessment Workshops & Expert Assistance

SIMassist   

Service Improvement Manager (SIM) provides you with the ability to quickly and accurately measure the compliance and maturity of your processes according to leading frameworks and best practice standards such as ITIL® and ISO/IEC 20000.

To get the most from your SIM assessment, we offer a variety of optional coaching and assistance workshops to teach you the skills you need to perform a self-assessment and interpret the results. This will enable you and your staff to achieve effective return on your investment in SIM.


Stage 1: Introductory Workshops

Our introductory workshop provides your team with the skills they need to gather evidence and conduct a detailed self-assessment of the organisation, regardless of the training and experience that they already possess. Depending on your requirements and the level of assistance required, this workshop is often completed within 2-3 days and covers the following topics:

  • Introduction to ISO/IEC 20000 and related process-assessment standards
  • How to conduct an effective assessment
  • Gathering and reviewing the evidence
  • Interviewing people: tips and techniques

This workshop is designed to equip your staff with the skills required to complete an accurate standards-based self-assessment. If required, our consultants can return at the end of the project for follow-up analysis and assistance with detailed service improvement planning.


Stage 2: Follow-up Analysis & Service Improvement Planning

Following the completion of your assessment, SIM will have automatically provided you with a variety of baseline compliance, maturity and quality measures as well as comparative benchmark data and service improvement tasks. Our consultants are available to offer expert advice on your findings or to provide a detailed report as the basis of a service improvement plan or business case.


Guided Assessment

We are also available if you prefer an objective and independent consultant-led assessment, or you simply require expert guidance through the entire assessment and service improvement process. At Solisma, we have developed an effective Assessment and Implementation Method (AIM) to guide you through the process of your first assessment, through the continual improvement cycle and on to optional standards certification if required.




ISO/IEC 20000 Training

Also included in our SIMassist offering is the option for onsite ISO/IEC 20000 education to provide your staff with a solid understanding of best practice IT Service Management. Where possible, we recommended that all key staff are provided with ISO/IEC 20000 Foundation Certificate training prior to the commencement of your assessment to ensure that the objectives and requirements of the assessment are clearly understood by all. Solisma specialises in the cost-effective onsite delivery of ITIL® and ISO/IEC 20000 training at your own premises.
